Cub Scout Uniforms

Wearing a uniform gives youth and adult members a sense of identification and commitment to the goals of character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. The awards displayed on the uniform mark significant milestones in every Scout and leader’s progress in achieving these goals and successfully practicing Scouting’s ideals.

Note: Finances should never be a barrier to scouting. If the scout needs help getting a uniform, please let a member of leadership know.

Pack 22 Uniform Policy

Pack 22 requests scouts to wear the appropriate rank hat, official BSA Cub Scout shirt with patches placed correctly, rank neckerchief and slide, and official Scout Belt. Navy Blue pants or shorts are preferred for full Field Dress uniform, but any pants will do otherwise.

The Cub Scout uniform should be worn to all Cub Scout activities including Den and Pack Meetings. Pack 22 camping trips are the rare exception where the Cub Scout uniform should NOT be worn. In our pack, we require a hat along with an official Cub Scout neckerchief and a neckerchief slide.

The pack will provide the den number patch, scout neckerchief and rank badges (i.e., Tiger, Bobcat, Wolf, Bear, Webelos). Parents must provide the shirt, patches, and neckerchief slide. You will need the following patches:

• Greater Niagara Frontier Council Shoulder Patch
• Pack Numerals 22 - Red
• World Scouting Emblem– This emblem is worn by all registered youth members and adult leaders to symbolize membership in the World Scouting movement.

Scouts are required to wear their shirts buttoned up and tucked in to pants or shorts that are free of rips, tears, frayed edges, etc. If hats are worn, they will be worn front and center.

The Niagara Frontier Scout Shop will sew on all patches for a nominal fee ($3)
